Profile

I create editorial and fine-art projects with a simple, naturalistic documentary approach.

In my practice I find it interesting how we use escapism in our everyday lives, often helping us understand our place in society and creating a space for ourselves where we can feel valued.

Our escapist fantasies can become integral to our personality, becoming entwined with our hobbies, passions and obsessions, helping to shape our perception and ideas of the wider world. This, of course, can be a positive and negative experience.

Whilst not all of the work may directly reference escapism the curiosity of what has influenced people and how they perceive the world is always the starting point.
