Working in Dublin I create fine art and editorial photography projects with a focus on portraiture.

Running through most of these projects is the theme of escapism. As a photographer I find it interesting how escapism can be used to improve our perception of the world around us and the role external forces, such as advertising, film and culture in general play in this. That escapism can be of detriment to the individual is also of particular interest.

I am also a co-founder of the Belfast Photo Factory. Situated in the Cathedral Quarter the photographic collective provides space and equipment for its members and aims to foster a community spirit whilst helping photographic artists realise their ambitions.
